Hinamatsuri / Sakura mochi and warabi mochi – Japanese snack

I posted Anime in previous article. I come back to usual topic^^
From now on, I will sometimes post except Japanese snacks.

Today, I talk about Japanese traditional event. In March 3 in each year, we celebrate Hina-matsuri for praying healthy growth of girls with a below doll.

 

Doll in the left side represents Emperor

 

 

and in the right side represents  Empress.

 

 

We only displayed top platform, because dont have much room.

Then, I guess no many people display like below, but this is an official

 

 

Each platform has different dolls and meaning. 2nd platform holds three ladies hold Sake. and 3rd platform holds 5 males musician.

 

And, I eat this wagashi Yomogi manju as below photo.

I added “kinako” into this manju.

This is one of Japanese traditional event.
